The best restaurants in Sant Antoni, Barcelona

On this page I’m sharing the best restaurants in Sant Antoni, Barcelona. Sant Antoni is a small but wonderful neighborhood just West of Raval. This small triangle shaped neighborhood, in the West of the city center of Barcelona houses some great restaurants and bars. On this page I’m sharing my favorite food spots in Sant Antoni.

Braseros & Asoc.

Braseros & Asoc. is a wonderful restaurant in Sant Antoni. The first time we just stumbled upon it and we’ve been back several times ever since. Braseros & Asoc. has a stylish interior with a romantic touch. They serve high quality tapas dishes and fish and meat mains. For vegetarians they’ve got a delicious pasta as a main. But we often just munch on tapas all evening long when we’re there. Try their Patatas Bravas with black aioli sauce and leave some room for dessert.

Cafe Cometa

Cafe Cometa is a wonderful coffeeshop/lunchroom. It’s a creative little cafe with lots of art on the walls, and a popular spot for digital nomads. They’ve got a good lunch menu (including vegetarian and vegan options), tasty coffees and juices. Cafe Cometa is women owned and LGBTQ+ friendly. In general it has a very relaxed atmosphere which makes it a great place for a food stop in Sant Antoni.

Flipa

Flipa must be one of the smalles restaurants in San Antoni, or even in Barcelona. But this ‘brunch and vermut’ restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I love going here for brunch and ordering one of the toasts, sandwiches, bowls or waffles. The entire menu is practically vegetarian, and they’ve got both sweet and savory options. But Flipa is also a great restaurant in the afternoon or early evening for vermut or another aperetivo and some nibbles. They’re open every day from 9am to 9pm (and on Friday and Saturday to 10pm).

Paradero

Paradero is a great place for a good coffee and brunch. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the dishes on the menu are classics with an original twist. I went for the avocado toast with poached egg for example, and that had pickled onions and tortilla chips. They also have healthy bowls, bagels and sandwiches. And you can save room for dessert because they’ve got many sweets like brownies and carrot cake. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu.

Ruar Streetfood

Ruar Streetfood offers some really tasty hamburgers. They’ve got several different kinds, and also a delicious vegetarian one. If you’re really hungry you can order some loaded fries as well. And for dessert they’ve got Brigaderos; Brazilian sweet chocolate balls.
They’re also open for lunch when they have great sandwiches.

Kiltro

Kiltro is a great restaurant in Sant Antoni for Latin American food and drinks. They’ve got all kinds of Ceviches, tacos, nachos and more. And of course they’ve got Pisco! This signature drink from Peru and Chili is often drank as the Pisco Sour, but at Kiltro they’ve got all kinds of variations.
All dishes at Kiltro are to share, so just order a few bites with your company. The dishes are very satisfying so be careful not to order too much at once. And you might want to leave some room for dessert. Their Cheesecake with Dulce de Lecce is very popular!

Federal Cafe

Federal Cafe has three locations in Barcelona, one of them is in Sant Antoni. This location has a lovely big balcony so you can enjoy your lunch outside. The menu is inspired by Australian lunchrooms with good coffees and lovely toasts. This avocado toast is one of my favorites (you can add a poached egg if you want) and their sandwich with halloumi cheese is also a great option. They’ve got many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

Bar Calders

Bar Calders is a great bar for a drink with some tapas. They’ve got nice wines, beers and cocktails. Ans dome great finger food to go with it like nachos and hummus. It has a nice terrace for sunny days as well. It has a very relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. A real neighborhood classic.
