I found B&B La Vista Brava on Eliza was Here. They have many unique bed and breakfasts listed on their website, and it’s super easy to search for one that meets your needs. You can search for sustainable locations for example, but also if it has a swimming pool and if a baby cot is available.

After we’ve been to Barcelona several times, we wanted to explore the region some more. So I searched for accommodations in Catalunya (Catalonia) on the Eliza was Here website. There were many options to chose from, so I selected B&B’s that could offer a baby bed and that have a swimming pool. That’s how I found B&B La Vista Brava in Platja d’Aro in the Costa Brava coast in Spain.

Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is an area at the North East coast of Spain, in the Catalonia region. It starts about 60km North of Barcelona and stretches all the way to France. The biggest city in the Costa Brava is Girona, but many people know it because of the beach towns.
When you were young you might have been to Blanes or Lloret del Mar. But the Costa Brava also has a lot to offer if you want to do more than clubbing.

Platja d’Aro

The town Platja d’Aro is located in the center of the Costa Brava. From there you can easily visit all the other towns in the area. The car is fully insured so you can make a little road trip in the Costa Brava without having to worry about a thing.
But also if you stay in Platja d’Aro there’s enough to do. It has a nice stretch of beach, many shops and all kinds of restaurants.

B&B La Vista Brava

B&B La Vista Brava is located just a few minutes North of Platja d’aro on a hill. From the Bed and Breakfast you’ve got lovely views over Platja d’Aro and the sea. The B&B has 4 rooms, so it’s big enough to meet other travellers and have a chat, and small enough to feel like you’re staying with family. And that’s also how the Belgian owners Tim and Nelleke make you feel. You’re more than a guest, during your stay you’ll feel part of their family.
The original Catalan building is beautifully renovated to meet all the modern standards. All rooms have their own tv and bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. There’s free wifi in all the rooms and the general areas.

Speaking of general areas; that’s the main attraction of B&B La Vista Brava. It has a lovely pool with views over Platja d’Aro and the Mediterranean sea. A terrace where you can enjoy a drink in the sun. A big dining table where breakfast is served, but where you’re also welcome to sit down at any other time of the day. And a shared living room with comfortabel sofas, a tv and a fire place.
You might begin to understand why you can feel so at home at La Vista Brava.

Because Tim and Nelleke, the owners, are from Belgium I could speak Dutch with them. They were super helpful as we were travelling with a baby. They arranged a bouncer and a play mat for Mats and they gave us our own kettle to boil water for his bottle.
But they also took good care of us. They’re up for a chat if you feel like it, but will also give you privacy when you want it.
