Vegetarian friendly restaurant Waanzinnig has been on my favorite food spots in Tilburg page since the beginning of my blog. I went there quite a few times for dinner as they always have several good vegetarian options. But did you know that they’re also open for lunch? I didn’t know this, but I’m glad that I found out!
Restaurant Waanzinnig is located in the Willem II straat in the city center, it’s housed where restaurant De Imme used to be. It’s a very special restaurant as it’s run by people with a psychological vulnerability. They get guidance from coaches and experienced waiters. Waanzinnig is open from 11am on Tuesday to Saturday.
I call them ‘vegetarian friendly’ for a reason; restaurant Waanzinnig always has many vegetarian dishes on the menu. At the moment you can find the pearl couscous salad with herbs and vegetables pictured above on the menu for example. But also a vegetarian grilled pepper-tomato soup and grilled vegetables with herbs and parmesan cheese.
They also have gluten free bread at Waanzinnig, so you can get this vegetarian sandwich with hummus, sun-dried tomatoes and basil even when you have a gluten intolerance.
As I said, you can also have dinner at restaurant Waanzinnig. Half of the main courses are vegetarian and they also always have at least one vegan dish on the menu. Waanzinnig is wheelchair friendly.
