New hotspot in Amsterdam Zuid: Market33

Yay! Finally something nice is happening in Amsterdam Zuid! Hidden gem Market 33 is now open, which means there’s more than just Zuidas offices now! Great news for the people that live in Zuid, who finally have something lively in the neighborhood on Saturdays when the offices are closed.

Market 33 is like the American food courts in the sense that there are multiple food stands and tables in the middle where you can sit down with all the different food you and your friends have gathered. Other than that, it’s totally different than an American food court, since Market 33 serves healthy food and is way more ‘gezellig’.

They’re open from Monday to Saturday for lunch, dinner, a cup of coffee or a cocktail. They’re housing 10 different food stands varying from pita’s to sushi.

vegetarian hand rolls at Hello Vietnam Amsterdam

At Hello Vietnam you can get delicious hand rolls. Ever since I’ve been to Vietnam, I love Vietnamese food. It’s healthy and light so you can have a few hand rolls as an appetizer and then continue to Grizzl for a (vegetarian) burger for example. I had their vegetarian summer rolls with cucumber and vermicelli noodles. If you liked summer rolls, you might want to make my rice paper packages!

vegan poke bowl at bowls and buns at Market 33 Amsterdam

The latest trend in foodland also landed in Market 33: the poke bowl. Bowls & Buns sells, as the name suggests, poke bowls and steamed buns. I love it that you can create your own poke bowl with your favorite ingredients at the counter. I picked quinoa as a base and added tempeh, avocado, mango, bell pepper, spring onions and pumpkin seeds.
