New recipe: cherry galettes

Cherry galettes look like beautiful pastries but they’re very easy to make with this recipe! Galette is a French term for a flat round pie. You can make them with all kinds of fruit like apples, peaches, or my favorite: cherries.
You can make your own galette crust with flour, but with this recipe it’s much easier! All you need is 4 ingredients. Well five if you want to serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and I suggest that you do!
Although the fresh out of the oven cherry galette without ice cream is also delicious and more healthy!
Quickly read on for my easy cherry galette recipe!

Recipe cherry galettes
Ingredients:
Puff pastry, thawed
Apricot jelly (preferably sugar free)
Frozen cherries, thawed (or fresh cherries, pitted)
2 tbs flour

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Cut the puff pastry sheets in rounds. Top each round with a teaspoon of sugar free apricot jelly. Mix the flour with the cherries and top each sheet with two tablespoons of cherries. Keep 1 cm of the edges so you can fold them in the galette shape. Optionally you can brush the edges of the galettes with whisked egg and sprinkle them with some sugar.
Bake the cherry galettes in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
The cherry galettes are best when you eat them right from the oven and taste great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
