Parkhotel: favorite hotel in Kortrijk

I just came back from a wonderful trip to Kortrijk in Belgium. You can click here to read all about what to do, see and eat in Kortrijk, and on this page I’m telling you where to sleep. The Parkhotel is one of the best hotels in Kortrijk and if you’re planning a visit to Kortrijk I absolutely recommend it.
Parkhotel is very centrally located right next to the Central Station of Kortrijk. The hotel has 155 beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds.
There’s a beautiful wellness area with a gym, swimming pool and sauna. You can also book a massage or facial treatment here.

As a travel foodie I always find the breakfast a very important part of my stay and Parkhotel doesn’t disappoint. Apart from all the wonderful food (from fresh croissants to yogurt with muesli and chocolate chunks, and scrambled eggs that are made on te spot) the service is excellent. The staff already gave me a cup of tea before I could ask for it.
The bistro where the breakfast is held is also open for lunch and dinner and open to non-hotel guests. They serve many seafood and meat dishes. High quality but not much choice for vegetarians.

Besides the Bistro, Parkhotel also houses a great bar: bar Jules. This trendy bar also has an outdoor area for sunny days (with a big, colorful mural). They serve dishes from all over the world and the bartenders can make original cocktails. Bar Jules opens at 5pm and is open for both hotel as non-hotel guests.

Part of the hotel is under construction, but you won’t notice any of that as a guest. They actually turned their construction site into a work of art with blueprints on the walls and builders helmets on the ceiling!
