Vegan Peanut butter and Chocolate Mousse

You might think it’s difficult to find a dessert that doesn’t contain sugar, wheat, dairy, butter or other high fat ingredients. But this chocolate peanut butter mousse dessert proves you wrong! This gluten free and vegan dessert is delicious and creamy without any artificial or unhealthy products! Below are the recipe and the food video showing you how to make this chocolate peanut butter mousse!

Chocolate and Peanut butter

Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favorite combinations. And it’s been that way since I was a child. I always wanted to have chocolate sprinkles on my peanut butter sandwich. I’m lucky to be born in the Netherlands where it’s very normal to have chocolate sprinkles on your sandwich!

You’ve probably had chocolate mousse in your life, but did you ever have peanut butter mousse? That might be new!

And the chocolate mousse you had before probably wasn’t vegan and sugar free. This chocolate peanut butter mousse is vegan, sugar free, gluten free and dairy. Scroll down for the recipe and the tutorial video!

Recipe vegan peanut butter chocolate mousse

Ingredients:
130 gram (3/4 cup) dark chocolate, in chunks
2 tbs plant based milk
1 package silken tofu (300 grams)
125 gram (1/2 cup) peanut butter
Optionally: 1 tbs agave syrup

Melt the chocolate chunks au-bain-marie. Put half of the silken tofu with the plant based milk in a food processor. Add the chocolate and mix until combined.
Put the chocolate mousse in a glass or plastic cup. Combine the remaining ingredients in a food processor and poor the peanut butter layer on top of the chocolate layer. Put the mousse in the fridge until serving but at least for 1 hour.
I decorated it with some chocolate curls.
