Sleep & Dine arrangement Vinkeveen

The Apollo Hotel and restaurant the Harbour Club restaurant in Vinkeveen offer a great package together. On this page I’m telling you all about the Sleep & Dine arrangement in Vinkeveen in the province Utrecht in the Netherlands.

With the Sleep & Dine arrangement you get a 4 course dinner at the Harbour Club restaurant, an overnight stay in a hotel room at the Apollo Hotel and breakfast the next morning.

The Harbour Club, Vinkeveen

I remember the Harbour Club from when I still lived in Amsterdam, but they have 5 restaurants in total. One of them is located at Vinkeveen. It’s a small town between Amsterdam and Utrecht. Vinkeveen has one big reason to visit it: the Vinkeveense plassen. This beautiful water with many islands is great for a day on a boat. After a day on the water you can have a lovely dinner at the Harbour Club restaurant. Or enjoy your lunch during the day with views over the water and see the boats pass by.
If you book the Sleep & Dine package you get a four course meal at the Harbour Club.

For each of the 4 courses you can choose between several dishes. There are options for fish, meat and vegetarian food lovers. I went for the watermelon carpaccio as a starter. It was a great dish with thinly sliced watermelon and tomato, red onions, jalapeño peppers and cilantro.
For the second course I had vegetarian sushi with wasabi mayonaise.

As a main dish I had the vegetarian gnocchi. It was such a tasty dish! The gnocchi was shortly fried and was served with carrot, butter beans and garlic. It wasn’t your average vegetarian pasta. I love gnocchi in general, but because it was shortly fried, it had a crispy layer that really gave an extra touch to it.

Do you like gnocchi too? Check my recipe for creamy gnocchi with pesto.

For dessert my friend and I had the ‘Chocolate Dream’. A large dessert that you share with the two of you. There’s a chocolate cilinder in the middle and when they serve the dessert they pour warm chocolate sauce over it. The cilinder will break and reveal chocolate cake. There are also brownies, white chocolate mouse, ice cream and fresh fruits on the platter.
We weren’t able to finish it as we already had 3 courses and the dessert is rather filling. But we enjoyed every bite of it!

Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen

Apollo Hotels is a Dutch hotel chain. They’ve got 13 hotels all over the Netherlands. I stayed at the Apollo hotel when I was in Almere, and I often have a drink at the Apollo hotel next to the Amsterdam Zuid train station.
The Apollo Hotel in Vinkeveen is brand new. It’s great if you want to spend multiple days on the water at the Vinkeveense plassen, but because of its super central location it’s great for many reasons.
The Apollo hotel Vinkeveen has a nautical. There are big blueprints of ships on the carpet in the corridors for example and on the wallpaper of the hotel rooms.

The rooms have everything you need; a large, comfortable double bed, a tv, free wifi, a mini bar, a safe, coffee facilities and a clean bathroom. Our room had a beautiful view over the Vinkeveense plassen.

Breakfast

Included in the Sleep & Dine arrangement is a wonderful breakfast buffet. They extensive buffet has sandwiches, toppings, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, scrambled eggs and much more. These pancakes where my favorite part of breakfast.

The Sleep and Dine arrangement is €179 for 2 people on Monday to Wednesday and €199 for 2 on Thursday to Sunday.
