Kanarie Club: all-day restaurant in the hallen in Amsterdam

The Kanarie Club (Canary Club) is located in the Hallen in Amsterdam West. The food hallen is one of my favorite food spots in the city, as you have many different stands and anyone can order something else but you can still eat all together. When the food hallen had just opened up back in October 2014 a restaurant was housed in the back of the food hallen. The restaurant was only open in the evenings and that was quite a shame. It was a big space and often people visited the food hallen during the day and they couldn’t go to the restaurant for lunch. Luckily it all changed when the Kanarie Club opened up!

The Kanarie Club opens at 8:30 am on weekdays and 9:30 am in the weekends. You can go here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and after-dinner drinks. It’s also a great place to work as they have a big table with power plugs for your laptop. |
As you might know, I’m a big breakfast lover. I even have my own breakfast hashtag on Instagram: #annelovesbreakfast. The Kanarie Club in Amsterdam has a great breakfast menu. For the early birds they have fresh croissants with butter jam or cheese and homemade granola with either regular yogurt or coconut yogurt for a vegan/lactose free version.

For the travel foodies they have a selection with breakfast dishes from around the world. For example a jalapeno wrap or a kimchi burger. They also have Eggs Benedict and Eggs Norwegian. You see the latter pictured above. It’s an English muffin with spinach, poached eggs, hollandaise and smoked Norwegian salmon.
They also have great vegetarian dishes! You can go for the focaccia with baba ganoush, grilled courgette and hazelnuts. My favorite vegetarian lunch dish at the Kanarie Club is a quinoa salad with red beet hummus, sweet potato, mushrooms and walnuts.

They also have great breakfast dishes to satisfy your sweet tooth. What about banana bread with passionfruit creme, walnuts and caramel? Or French Toast with apple, cinnamon and vanilla cream? And my favorite is pictured here, pancakes with coconut cream with caramelized pineapple.
