Roots is the restaurant of the Hilton hotel in Rotterdam. They change their menu completely every season. I also went there in September when they launched their Autumn menu (you can read about it on this page). And since Summer has officially started it was time for the new summer menu at Restaurant Roots.
On the menu you’ll find many dishes like sea fruit and lobster, but they also have great options for vegetarians like myself.
As a starter you could for example go for this burrata with gazpacho. I loved the colors of this dish and even though the burrata is a big piece, because it’s very light in taste.
As a main dish I had this courgette (zucchini) dinner. The tempura in the middle is the flower of a courgette! It’s served with ‘Opperdoezen’ potatoes and a green pea cream.
What else can you have for dessert on a summer menu than strawberries? Here you see Dutch strawberries, raspberries, meringue and lemon curd.
