Looking for good Mexican food in Amsterdam? Check out Chiapas Taco Cartel on the van Woustraat in popular area De Pijp. Like the name suggests, their specialty is tacos. But they also serve great nachos and rice and beans. And good news if you live in The Hague: in October 2017 they’ll open up a restaurant at the Prins Hendrikstraat!
Chiapas Taco Cartel has got several different tacos on their menu. The menu changes regularly but they always have serval kinds of meat and even fish on the menu. But, and here’s where I got enthusiastic, they also have great vegetarian options. They’re always delicious! I’ve had a version with sweet potato and green asparagus and one with mushrooms and cheese.
You can also order every taco as a burrito and the prices are very reasonable! You pay around 8 euros for two tacos and for me that was enough for dinner since the tacos are quite big.
